CSSP Annual Site Steward Training Session April 13th, 2024
Description
Please join us for the 2024 Annual CSSP Site Steward Training Session in the Theater room at the CANM Visitors Center and Museum!
This mandatory annual training session is required by Canyons of the Ancients National Monument to maintain Site Steward skills and interact with program managers and BLM Law Enforcement to brief the team on procedures, projects, and issues for the new season.
For our existing Experienced Site Stewards, this is the only session that is required for the program in 2024. The session will run from 9 AM to 12:30 PM in the Theater Room and we will review our usual program updates and new projects for the season. A major focus this year will be on our new Site Baseline Photos Upload system, which will be located on the CSSP Web Portal. The new baseline photos system will replace the flash drives that we have been using for the last few years.
For our New Site Stewards, there is a 2nd required session the same day, Saturday April 13th. It will start at 1:30 PM in the Lowry Room and is expected to run until about 3:30 PM. The session will cover site monitoring reporting via the CSSP Web Portal, and all of the procedures and resources that are available for our volunteers. We will also have an extended Q&A period to answer any questions that you may have. Sites will be assigned starting in April and will have their own email communications and activity planning directly with the site stewards involved. (This 2nd session is also open to any site steward that would like to review the site monitoring process and ask any questions they have about the program with the management team.)
We will not be providing lunch on Saturday April 13th, so please plan on bringing a lunch if you are staying after the morning session.
Thank you for all that you do for Canyons of the Ancients National Monument! It is greatly appreciated!
