Earth Day Cleanup 2024

Join SCCA and Canyons of the Ancients Park Rangers this Earth Day to help clean up the places we love.

Monday, April 22, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 
9:00 a.m. Meet at Sand Canyon Pueblo, 14860 Rd N, Cortez, CO 81323. We will start with a special presentation with BLM staff. 

10:00 a.m. Tailgate safety talk and clean-up day information.

Following the safety talk we'll regroup and branch out to do roadside clean up including some trash removal at dispersed camp sites and off of one of our trails.  

Clean-up will conclude by 12:00 p.m.  Meet back up to dispose of e-waste and trash.

Trash bags, gloves and light refreshments will be provided. 

Please wear layers, sturdy shoes, hat and sunglasses. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a water bottle!
